I’ve been thinking a lot about dog behavior and dominance theory. After reading an interesting article (THE DOG WHISPERER CONTROVERSY) I picked up a few new books:

  • Outwitting Dogs: Revolutionary Techniques For Dog Training That Work! by Terry Ryan
  • Help for Your Fearful Dog: A Step-by-Step Guide to Helping Your Dog Conquer His Fears by Nicole Wilde
  • The Culture Clash: A Revolutionary New Way to Understanding the Relationship Between Humans and Domestic Dogs by Jean Donaldson

I’ve finished Outwitting Dogs and started Culture Clash. I think The Culture Clash should be required reading for anyone who wants to own a dog… If for no other reason then to help people understand how a dog relates to the world around him.
