Model corg!

Not really… Sully got measured but without his daddy being home I couldn’t get pictures of the measurements. He is barely 11.5” at the withers if he really stretches, and about 6.5” on the legs while laying down. He seems super short compared to lots of corgis, but his body is very long.

Well, looks like no (plus size) modeling for Gatsby. At the withers, he’s about 12.5” inches. (stupid me decided to use my transparent ruler I use for sewing, so it’s kinda hard to see) His leg, from toes to elbow, is 7” inches.

Just your average sized corgi!*

*Weight not a factor.

So it looks like a foot tall and 6-7” legs is the norm! I’m suprised.

Someone was terrified of the tape measure. I couldn’t get a pic and measure and calm down the terrified baby. At her withers, Miss Gert is 10 inches and her little stumpers are about 5 inches. They were hardest to measure because she was trying to run away.

Leg with Ruler: See Above. About 6.5-7” long to her “shoulder”.

Withers: Emma is about the same as JP. When we measured her at full height in class - she was 13”. At the Agility trial, we got her to lay her head down and straight on which brought her down to 12.5”

So, I think they are about the same size..which means..We Got MODEL CORGS! BRB, going to work on our Blue Steel!

JP and Emma are clearly meant for each other.

Also, I’m going to need someone to photoshop the two of them together, modeling. Let’s make this happen.

JP is around 12.5/12.75” tall at the withers (shoulders). His front legs are 6” long when standing, and 7” long fully extended.

Now it’s Emma’s turn. :)

Well, I was going to measure him, but my yard stick seems to have walked off and it’s the only ruler I have (had?). If I remember correctly JP is around a foot tall at the shoulders.

I’ll go buy a ruler tomorrow and measure his legs. I bet there are few corgis who can compete with his long legs!

And yes. JP and Em, professional models. Lets make this happen.

Because Sawyer asked about it earlier, here’s the info on the leash: Flexi® Neon Tape Retractable Leash. I got the Large because it was the only one that had tape instead of the cord. It’s pretty bright and obnoxious but I like it. I got it at PetSmart on sale.
