First time coursing! CHAMP!
JP, not paying a bit of attention to the task at hand.
For the coursing, they had three plastic bags tied to the line. Just sitting there, they held no interest to him. Once they started moving, JP paid more attention!
So I’ve been trying to explain to Kevin what lure coursing is, and finally I just found a video on YouTube for him. Wasn’t long before we were looking up corgis lure coursing! Corgis aren’t an eligible breed for lure coursing (sigh hounds only, I believe), but damn this looks fun! I’m going to look around and see if there’s a club that would let JP try it out. Kevin is also already deciding how we are going to set up a course in the apartment… :P
EDIT: It looks like any breed is allowed to participate in Coursing Ability Tests! The only requirement is that the dog be at least 1 year old! Here’s the PDF with all the info.
